I thought I would share this as it took me a while to work out!
Most templates won't have a position, by default, for adding a module, like RQuotes (excellent Module - Kevin many thanks!) to content.
But it is dead easy to do
Install the RQuotes Component & Module
Go to Extensions | Module Manager
find the RQuotes Module & Enable it
in the section for position, ignore the drop down options & just type a new position name in the box
say
content1
save
Then write an article - publish it where you want - say Front Page
in the article text add
{loadposition content1}
with the curly braces
and your RQuotes module will magically appear in the article on front page

Thank you very much for the tool and tips.
However, Is it possible to have an link to daily quote? (ie: not always show up on the front page)
I tried create an article with body text is
{loadposition content1}
and do not put in the front page.
I create an internal link on my menu to link to this newly article. It shows nothing whenever I click on this link.
Can you help?
Thanks

Thanks for using RQuotes
The answer to your question is
YES
I tried using a menu item to link to the article ( module) not on the front page and it works for me. I suggest you try again. If you can't get it to work try it on the front page and go from there.
If you need more help post more info here

Thanks for your quick response,
I tried again with following steps and be able to see the quote
- create an article with above contents
- in main menu, create an article that links to rquote module.
- I saw the link for this article is index.php?option=com_rquotes&view=all
With the above steps, I only see the first or number of subsequence quotes (based on the setting) but not on the particular day of the year. However, since I have 365 quotes for the whole year in the database and I would like to display each of them daily based on the day of the year.
If I manually set the rquote in the "extensions" --> "module setting" and select "daily" display, I see the quote on the day of the year (ie: Feb 7, 2010 for today).
Regards

I'm glad it worked out for you. I am working on a new version for 1.6 that will include an option to display quotes on a given date.
Kevin.
